Ashram Road workshop
F M Furniture is a small carpentry workshop in Navrangpura, Ahmedabad. We make furniture the old way: solid seasoned timber, real joinery, hand-finishing, and enough time on each piece to get it right.
Most of our work is direct commission. A family walks in, tells us what they need, and we build for their room, their family, and the wood they like the feel of. Nothing leaves the workshop until the finish is smooth to the touch.
We supply homes, offices and small studios across Ahmedabad, and take on institutional orders when the timeline is honest.

Choose the timber, we will show you the difference.
We keep a small selection of well-seasoned timbers on hand. Each has its own grain, weight and price, and we will walk you through the trade-offs before we quote.
- 01Burma teak
Warm honey-brown, straight grain, excellent for beds, dining tables and outdoor-facing pieces.
- 02Walnut
Rich chocolate tones, chatoyant grain, our first choice for statement dining tables and office desks.
- 03Sheesham (Indian rosewood)
Dense, characterful, good value, well suited for everyday sofas, chairs and storage units.
- 04Mango wood
Lighter tone, softer feel, an affordable option for children's rooms and lightweight cabinets.
- 05BWP ply with veneer
For wardrobes and built-ins, we use marine-grade ply skinned with real wood veneer for a solid look at a working budget.
Bespoke work
Send us the wall, we will build for it.
Standard sizes rarely fit an Indian home. We take measurements at your place, sketch options, and quote a fixed price before a single plank is cut.

We come to your home or office, take the measurements, and understand how the piece will be used.
- 02Sketch and wood choice
You see a hand sketch or CAD view, and we agree on the wood, joinery and finish together.
- 03Fixed quote
You get a single quote covering material, labour and delivery. No surprises later.
- 04Build in the workshop
The piece is built at our Ashram Road workshop, checked and finished before it leaves.
- 05Delivery and install
We deliver, install and touch up on site so the piece looks right in your room.
